As with every system once popular you get spammers, people who want to get as many links as they can with low quality articles. This may work in other systems, but not ours we take spam very seriously
We are delighted to announce that our new spam control algothirm is now live
So whats new in the algothirm, we have listed some specific key points below
- We now have a white/trust list, the algothirm decides which members go on the whitelist
- If you are not on the whitelist, (everyone must earn their right) your article will ONLY be published on moderated sites for the first 24 hours of it going live
- If after 24 hours the article has not received any flags by site owners, it will start to go onto sites that auto accept content
- If the article receives a flag we will check the article manually, if it receives more then one the article will instantly be blocked
- If you continue to produce high quality articles and they do not get flagged the system will put you onto the whitelist, and your articles will not have to go through the initial 24 hours of being distributed to only moderated sites
- Once on the whitelist if you decide to spam the system will detect and take you straight off of it
- If your articles are constantly being flagged your account will be suspended
Please do NOT contant us asking to add you to the whitelist, as we have created an algothirm which will do this and cannot do it manually anyhow. The only way to get into the whitelist and stay on it is by producing top quality articles all of the time
Let us know if you have any questions :-)

Popping back in to say I've just gone through and approved a number of articles on my blog and the vast majority of them were pretty good. Something is obviously working!

I've just joined the site, and every single one of the articles posted on my site are gobbledegook. I can't see any mechanism to "flag" these articles - I'm more than happy to report them if someone can tell me how.

A Spammer contributes no real value including low quality information to the www and their intention is usually to trick search engines into showing a website higher in search results than they deserve.

This is why I'm keeping ArticleRanks and telling my readers to take care to article market beyond the backlink. It's clear that if you need to ask, you might be guilty of doing it...Here's an easy way to tell if you're a spammer:1) Do you READ your articles after you spin them?2) Are they still worth reading??3) Are your outbound links something a blog's owner would want or not? In other words: if you're in the parenting niche, it's probably safe to say you can stop linking to the porn site...Just thinking out loud here. It's not hard to do - you can have any kind of link, but if the network gets devalued (I can name some names) then people jump ship. The main reason I'm such a happy fan of ArticleRanks, besides the great results, is the quality control.Keep it up. Spammers - there are plenty of networks out there. This just isn't one of them.

Maybe this can help those who don't know what SPAM is: Spammers are people who provide completely self serving content that does not build up or edify those that read the content, or the sites that host the content. It's often loaded with spun text that is spun only for the sake of spinning, and often sounds like a complete moron has written it. People need to take the time to re write complete sentences with complete thoughts - not just take the easy way out, and post garbage on someone's site. That hurts everyone in the system. I believe that as Google gets smarter and smarter, this kind of junk won't be ranked anyway. So here's a test. Would you want your name on the article you're submitting, for everyone in your community to see? If your article was on the first page on the newspaper, would you be proud of it? - or would you sound like an {idiot|moron|self serving marketer who cares nothing about quality, grammar, spelling, context..}.I'm writing this to myself, as much as anyone else. If we all maintain personal accountability for what we do, this system will continue to provide value for all of us.

Is there a bug right now that is not allowing others to accept/delete/or report junk on their sites right now? I have not been able to do that for about an hour now.

Yup, I don't understand also what this means. Can you please define spammers? I am submiting spinned articles to get more uniquness and I thought this system was in fact all about that?
